I had to change my password for my Gmail account. Therefore, to access my Gmail account on my Kindle Fire, I too had to allow FULL access to Amazon. I did not want to grant full access. So, I called Amazon Support. This is what I was told. In order for Amazon to download Gmail on my Kindle, I had to grant access.
